The Country Residential Core was born from a strategic alliance with the Sparrow Academy , an organization that has been working in San Pedro Sula since 2009, training local leaders and supporting children and young people facing poverty and violence, giving them hope and a future with purpose.

As part of this collaboration, the Uremu Project offers choir and ukulele lessons to 31 students in the program, primarily residents of the Rancho Bonito shantytown.

The teacher in charge of the core is Ana Rodríguez.
